The meeting began by Dr. winter saying that a slight change
from prior announcements had become necessary, due to the fact that
photographers for our Church Pictorial History were using part of the
Church Parlor and also that due to the crowd present tonight they could
not be accommodated in the Parlor, so they were compelled to move from
the Church Parlor into the adjoining room, which coos the Gollaher Chapel
of the Church. He asked if anyone had any objections but there were
none whatever. He then caned upon Kenneth H. Schmidt, Lay Leader of
the Church, to give the opening prayer.
Dr. Winter stated that, pursuant to The Book of Discipline of
hack ~or~ex~sen, President of the Board Qf Directors, also known as Chair-
man of the Board of Trustees, of said Church, was then called upon and
he reported that the Board believed that, because it was a vacant iot
that was xarely used, it would be for the best interests of the Church
for this property to be sold and the proceeds used as determined by the
said Board.
The presiding officer, Ur. F. Hauser Winter, then made a rul-
ing that, after the resolution for the sale of the praperty was presented,
to vote. He said everyone belonging to the Church can vote at the second
aneeting of the Church Conference. However, he was going to permit every-
one to speak freely in the discussion at the Charge Conference.
