200400552 Mayor and City Council of the City of Wood River, Nebraska, may issue district improvement warrants of combined Street Improvement Districts Nos. 2000 -1, 2000 -2 and 2000 -3 of' the City of Wood River, Nebraska, in the form and manner provided by law. Section 6. To allow the final payment and retirement of said warrants and to pay for the cost of paving, grading, curbing, guttering or other necessary improvements incidental thereto, the Mayor and City Council may issue bonds in such form and manner as may be provided by law and may assess the costs of said work to the property in each of said districts in proportion to the benefits derived therefrom, whether or not such bonds are issued. Section 7. After the passage, approval and publication of this Ordinance as provided herein, there shall be published as provided by law in The Wood River Sunbeam, a notice with respect to the districts created by the terms of this Ordinance, which notice shall provide, among other things, that if a majority of the resident owners of the property directly abutting on the street or alley to be improved in said district shall file with the City Clerk within 20 days after the first publication of said notice, written objections to the creation of a district, the improvements in said district shall not be made as provided in this Ordinance. Section 8. This Ordinance shall be published two (2) times in The Wood River Sunbeam, a legal weekly newspaper published and of general circulation in the City of Wood River, Nebraska, and shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. Section 9. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force 30 days after its enactment and publication unless referendum petitions shall be filed within said 30 days with the City Clerk pursuant to the provisions of § 18 -2501 to 18 -2537 inclusive, R.R.S. Neb., as amended, in which case the effectiveness of this Ordinance shall be suspended. Section 10. All provisions of any prior Ordinance of the City in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
