/ 4t• <br />200400552 <br />NOTICE OF CREATION OF STREET AND ALLEY IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICTS OF DEADLINE TO PROTEST• AND OF <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and City Council of the <br />City of Wood River have by Ordinance created Street Improvement <br />Districts Nos. 2000 -1, 2000 -2 and 2000 -3 in the City of Wood River, <br />Nebraska. The districts have been created for the paving, curbing, <br />guttering, and other associated improvements. <br />provides for the paving improvements to Eighth Street District <br />Highway 11 to West Street and from Marshall Street from Ninth <br />Street to U.S. Highway 30; District 2000 -2 provides for street <br />pavement including curb and gutter upon Walnut Street from Tenth <br />Street to Eleventh Street; and District 2000-3 Providcs 'or <br />concrete pavement improvements to the alley between Eighth Street <br />and Ninth Street from West Street East to the existing pavement. <br />The boundaries of each of the above - described districts are <br />identified in an Ordinance on file with the Wood River City Clerk. <br />If the owners of the record title representing more than 50% of the <br />front footage of the property directly abutting on said street or <br />alley within the respective district to be improved and who were <br />such owners at the time the Ordinance creating the districts was <br />adopted, shall file with the City Clerk written objection to the <br />formation of such district, such improvements contained within said <br />district shall not be made; provided, the written objections must <br />be filed with the City Clerk by 5:00 P.M. on the <br />SEPTEMBER , 2000. __19TH day of <br />A public hearing to determine the sufficiency of any protest <br />shall be held at _ g_pp _ O'clock <br />P.M. on the 3RD day of <br />OCTOBER 2000, in the City Council Chambers in the Wood River <br />City Hall. If sufficient objections are not filed in the time and <br />manner aforesaid, the Mayor and City Council may forthwith proceed <br />to construct such street and alley improvements as provided in the <br />Ordinance and the work and improvements may be made at public cost, <br />or special assessments on the properties especially benefitted <br />thereby in each of said districts may be levied to the. extent <br />permitted by law to pay for said improvements. <br />MARLA KNECHT, City Clerk <br />
