i� 90--- 107142 d, Such independent contract or permitee shall file with the village clerk a surety bond equal to the estimated cost of the cutting and repair of said streets, alleys, sidewalks, or public grounds. SECTION 9. Removal of segments of sidewalks or pavement. All pavement, sidewalks, or combined pavement and sidewalk openings for trenching purposes shall be rectangular in shape and not less than 24 inches by 36 inches in dimensions. The minimum width of all openings shall be no wider at the bottom than at the top of such trench. Undercutting of opening is hereby prohibited. SECTION 10. Material and workmanship standards for replacement of pavement. All material and workmanship shall conform with the following specifications: a. All. brick pavement that has been opened shall be replaced with a six inch concrete base, a sand cushion, then replace the brick surface course and seal the joints with emulsified asphaltic compound. .b. All brick pavement with asphaltic surface course that has been opened shall be replaced with six inch concrete base and three inches of asphaltic concrete; provided, when there is not an asphaltic plant operating in or near the village, the opening may be replaced with nine inches of concrete. C. Concrete pavement that has been opened shall be replaced with concrete of the sane thickness as that removed, but in no case shall it be less than six inches in thickness. �;. Bituminous surfacedpavement with a concrete base that has been opened shall be replaced with a six inch concrete base and surfaced with at least two inches of asphaltic concrete. When there is not an asphaltic plant operating in or near the village, the opening may be replaced with nine inches of concrete.
