i� <br />90--- 107142 <br />d, Such independent contract or permitee <br />shall file with the village clerk a <br />surety bond equal to the estimated cost <br />of the cutting and repair of said streets, <br />alleys, sidewalks, or public grounds. <br />SECTION 9. Removal of segments of sidewalks or pavement. All <br />pavement, sidewalks, or combined pavement and sidewalk openings for <br />trenching purposes shall be rectangular in shape and not less <br />than 24 inches by 36 inches in dimensions. The minimum width of <br />all openings shall be no wider at the bottom than at the top of <br />such trench. Undercutting of opening is hereby prohibited. <br />SECTION 10. Material and workmanship standards for replacement <br />of pavement. All material and workmanship shall conform with the <br />following specifications: <br />a. All. brick pavement that has been opened <br />shall be replaced with a six inch concrete <br />base, a sand cushion, then replace the <br />brick surface course and seal the joints <br />with emulsified asphaltic compound. <br />.b. All brick pavement with asphaltic surface <br />course that has been opened shall be <br />replaced with six inch concrete base <br />and three inches of asphaltic concrete; <br />provided, when there is not an asphaltic <br />plant operating in or near the village, <br />the opening may be replaced with nine <br />inches of concrete. <br />C. Concrete pavement that has been opened <br />shall be replaced with concrete of the <br />sane thickness as that removed, but <br />in no case shall it be less than six <br />inches in thickness. <br />�;. Bituminous surfacedpavement with <br />a concrete base that has been opened <br />shall be replaced with a six inch <br />concrete base and surfaced with at <br />least two inches of asphaltic concrete. <br />When there is not an asphaltic plant <br />operating in or near the village, the <br />opening may be replaced with nine <br />inches of concrete. <br />Bituminous surfaced pavomcnt without <br />a concrete base that has E.z!en opened <br />shall be replaced with six inches of <br />as.)` %-nitic concrete which conforms with <br />the Stat<• -.f Nebraska Depart111Cnt of Roads <br />F0 El <br />[fir <br />W, -- <br />t . <br />
