It shall be the duty of the village clerk, <br />village maintenance man or village police officer, as the <br />chairman of the board of trustees shall direct, to make inspections <br />of all pavement and sidewalk cuts and the openings made in <br />streets, alleys, sidewalks or other public grounds and the <br />closing and restoration of the surface thereof, and to enforce <br />the provisions of Sections 1 to /�- , inclusive. <br />SECTION 14. Violations; penalty. Any person who shall fail, <br />y:;; neglect or refuse to comply with or violate any of the requirements <br />of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefore, be assessed a fine <br />of not more nor less than One Hundred Dollars ($100).
