<br />11. To exercise any right to elect benefit or payment options, to terminate, to change
<br />beneficiaries or ownership, to assign rights, to borrow or receive cash value in return for the
<br />surrender of any or all rights under any of the following:
<br />(a) Life insurance and annuity policies, plans or benefits;
<br />(b)
<br />Mutual fund and other dividend investment plans, bank accounts, certificates of
<br />deposit, stocks, bonds, or other financial accotmts, securities and financial
<br />instruments of any type or kind;
<br />(c) Retirement, profit-sharing and employee welfare plans and benefits;
<br />12. To exercise any right I may have to renounce or disclaim any interest in property,
<br />including the power of appointment; to exercise my right to claim an elective share of the estate
<br />of my spouse, or claim a homestead or exempt property allowance; to waive my right to be a
<br />beneficiary of joint and survivor annuity, including a survivor benefit under a retirement plan;
<br />13. To sign my name to any document, instrument or paper, including, but not limited
<br />to, those pertaining to my health, accident, hospitatieation, disability, Medicare and life insurance;
<br />14. To defend, settle, adjust, compound, submit to arbitration and compromise all
<br />actions, suits, accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever that now are or hereafter shall
<br />be pending between me and any person, firm or corporation, in such manner and in all respects as
<br />my said Agent shall think fit;
<br />15. To hire accountants, attorneys at law, investment counsel, physicians, dentists,
<br />workmen and other persons to render services for and to me and to remove them and appoint others
<br />in their place, and to pay and allow to the persons to be so employed such reasonable fees and
<br />compensation or other remuneration as my said Agent shall think fit;
<br />16. To enter into, make, sign, execute and deliver, acknowledge and perform any
<br />contract, agreement, writing or thing that may, in the opinion of my said Agent, be necessary or
<br />be proper to be entered into, made, or signed, sealed, executed, delivered and acknowledged or
<br />performed;
<br />17. To prepare, sign and file federal, state or local income, gift or other tax returns of
<br />all kinds , claims for refund, requests for extensions of time, petitions to the tax court or other
<br />courts regarding tax matters and any and all other tax related documents, including, without
<br />limitation, receipts, offers, waivers, consents (including, but not limited to, consents and
<br />agreements under Internal Revenue Code § 2032A, or any successor section thereto), powers of
<br />attorney, closing agreements; to exercise any elections I may have under any tax law; and generally
<br />to act in my behalf in all tax matters of all kinds and for all periods before all persons representing
<br />any taxing authority, including receipt of confidential information and the posting of bonds and to
<br />represent me in all such proceedings; to receive any refund of taxes payable to me; and to join with
<br />my spouse or my spouse's estate in filing income or gift tax returns for any years for which I have
<br />not filed such returns and to consent to any gifts made by my spouse as being made one-half by
<br />me for gift tax purposes, even though such action subjects my estate to additional liabilities;
<br />18. To receive and endorse in my name all social security and similar payments made
<br />to me;
<br />19. To sell any automobiles owned by me and to execute in my name all transfers of
<br />title thereto;
<br />20. To borrow money on such terms and with such security as may be necessary or
<br />desirable, and to sign in my name promissory notes, security agreements and other instruments in
<br />connection therewith;
