DISCUSS REPLACEMENT TO COUNTY BOARD COMMITTEES: With Mr. <br />Humiston's appointment to fill Tammie Stelk's unexpired term Chairman Hartman stated <br />that he would make appointment to the boards and committees she served on. He <br />appointed Bud Jeffries to serve on the extension board; Scot Arnold is the alternate to <br />the Library Board so he will serve on that board the remainder of the year and Dick <br />Hartman will serve on the Health Department Board. Mr. Humiston will serve on the rest <br />of the committees that Tammie Stelk had been on. <br /> <br />11. DISCUSS AND APPROVE REQUEST FROM SAFETY COMMITTEE FOR <br />PURCHASE OF HEPA FILTERS FOR CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT USING <br />INHERITANCE FUNDS: Jeffries made a motion and Logan seconded to approve the <br />purchase using the safety line item in the inheritance fund. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, <br />Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />12. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON ANTICRIME FUNDS: The National Association of <br />County Officials sent a letter to Hall County informing them that Hall County may be <br />eligible for law a enforcement block grant. The county would need to send a letter to the <br />Nebraska State Attorney General requesting this. Jeffries made a motion and Landis <br />seconded to send the letter of request. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, <br />Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />13. APPROVE RENEWAL OF AMUSEMENT LICENSE WOOD RIVER RECREATION <br />ASSOCIATION: This is a renewal of the amusement license for Wood River Recreation <br />Association: Jeffries made a motion and Landis seconded to approve the renewal for the <br />amusement license. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />16. DISCUSS GI/TV COVERAGE FOR HALL COUNTY This item was deleted because <br />the repairs are to be made this week. <br /> <br />17. DISCUSS AND APPROVE APPOINTMENT TO THE HALL COUNTY. HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY BOARD: The board received a letter from the Hall County Housing <br />Authority stating that federal r~.9ulations require that the Hall County Housing Authority <br />Board of Commissioners incll!de an individual who is a recipient of housing services. <br />They recommended the following appointments: <br />. Mary Livingston, reappointment effective July 1, 2000, term expires June 30, 2005 <br />. Rachelle Bryant, appointment to fill vacancy effective July 1, 2000, term expires June <br />30,2005 <br />. Karen Duff, to serve as Resident Commissioner term expires June 20, 2005 or until <br />no longer receiving housing services through Hall County Housing Authority <br />
