The Committee took action on three items at their <br />meeting on of the items was designation property to the NRD. Ron Bishop of Natural <br />Resources District told the board of the importance of drainage cells for the Northwest <br />portion of the CAAP land area. He handed out maps showing the 100-year Flood Event <br />and 50-year Flood Event. It was the NRD recommendation to create drainage cells for <br />the plant area if they obtained ownership of the land mentioned. Bishop informed the <br />board of the overflow of water from Silver Creek into Prairie Creek during large rain <br />periods. Hartman wanted them to include the control of seepage to the motion, this was <br />not added to the motion. Discussion was held regarding the transfer of property to NRD <br />Eriksen made the motion and Jeffries seconded it to approve the resolution transferring <br />of property tracts 1,19, 20 and the remaining portion available of tract 2 located at <br />Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant to the CPNRD. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, <br />Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-029 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CENTRAL PLATTE <br />NATURAL RESOURCES DISTRICT <br />AS TRANSFEREE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE <br />CORNHUSKER ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Law 103-337, sec. 2836 authorizes the Secretary of the Army <br />to convey to the Hall County, Nebraska, Board of Supervisors or its designee all right, <br />title and interest ofthe United States in and to the real property that is the site of the <br />Comhusker Army Ammunition Plant, hereinafter referred to as "CAAP," for fair market <br />value, said property to be used in a manner consistent with the CAAP Reuse Committee's <br />Comprehensive Reuse Plan, hereinafter referred to as the "Reuse Plan"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 30, 2003, the Comhusker Army Ammunition Plant Reuse <br />Committee adopted a motion recommending that tracts 1, 19,20, and the remaining <br />portion available of tract 2, be designated to the Central Platte Natural Resources District; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Central Platte Natural Resources District has proposed a plan to <br />utilize the real estate described herein for purposes of flood control; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of said property is consistent with the CAAP Reuse <br />Committee's Comprehensive Reuse Plan. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, the Hall County Board of Supervisors hereby designates <br />Central Platte Natural Resources District, hereinafter referred to as "CPNRD," as the <br />transferee of the following lands located at the Comhusker Army Ammunition Plant, to <br />wit: <br /> <br />All of tracts 1, 19,20 and the remaining portion available of tract 2 as marked on <br />attachment "A" <br /> <br />8 <br />
