Renee Seifert, from the <br />Convention and Tourism Bureau along with staff members, Trish Beam, Liz Gerberding, <br />and LeAnn Dose were present. Renee report to the Board of the impact on tourism <br />dollars to Hall County and the importance or continuing to encourage visitors to come to <br />our area. Also the new tourism project for the Cairo area. Arnold made the motion to <br />approve the proclamation as read by Renee Seifert, Eriksen seconded the motion. <br />Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none <br />voted no Motion carried. <br /> <br />TOURISM WEEK <br /> <br />PRO CLA MA TIOH <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 5-9, 2003 TO BE <br />HALL COUNTY TOURISM WEEK <br />RESOLUTION #03-028 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the tourism industry is extremely important to the State of Nebraska <br />and to the county of Hall by contributing to local employment, economic prosperity, local <br />pride and trade; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, we all benefit from the effects of tourism; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, tourism promotes intercultural understanding and appreciation of the <br />geography, history and people of Nebraska; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with a strong economy, personal incomes and leisure will increase <br />more rapidly.
