FACILITIES UPDATE Loren said he was looking for some help when they start moving <br /> the offices to the new addition and was able to find a company and O'Neill's will do the <br /> work and charge $35,00 an hour. Loren said they will help move the shelving and set it <br /> up. He will work with the district and county court clerks for a list of what they want to <br /> move and what does not need to be moved. <br /> He is also working on matching colors of carpet and tile and other materials in the new <br /> building and ask for volunteers. Jane and Pam will help with that process. <br /> This morning may be some problems with construction Loren reported that when gluing <br /> tile there is moisture on the floor and the grout they using and he floor is wet so there <br /> are some issues. All of the drywall that was wet has been replaced. He also said that <br /> the report from the Garland Company on the Federal building roof and there are just <br /> spots that need to be repaired he suggested to bid in November and plan for spring <br /> installation. <br /> Ron noted the tile removal in the Courthouse has asbestos and will need to be removed <br /> but that is to be expected. <br /> On of the projects at park is to replace a fence and he has 2 proposals from local <br /> companies, and he will bring that to the board at the next meeting. <br /> 18.COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE <br /> RESOLUTION #26-026 TO STRIKE FROM THE TAX LIST UNCOLLECTIBLE <br /> PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES AND 2023 AND 2024 UNCOLLECTIBLE PERSONAL <br /> AND REAL PROPERTY TAXES AND ACCELERATE PERSONAL AND REAL <br /> PROPERTY— Sorensen made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve <br /> Resolution 26-026 to strike the taxes. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4.COUNTY ATTORNEY— DISCUSSION REGARDING NEBRASKA ATTORNEY <br /> GENERAL'S OPINION ON THE WOOD RIVER ANNEXATION AND PROPERTY TAX <br /> ROLLS — County ttorney Marty Klein was present and he noted that when the claim was <br /> received it was his position that the County Board deny the claim while he was seeking <br /> the opinion. Now it is clear the county cannot reimburse Wood River as requested. The <br /> board need to deny the claim. He also noted that there are no bonds it is it would fall <br /> under the NIRMA insurance policy under errors and omissions. The board has taken <br /> appropriate action, and they will have to take the next steps. <br /> 16.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING 2026 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER <br /> FOR COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE — Peterson said he looked at the Trailblazer <br /> and it does have hail damage on the hood. He also talked to NIRMA and they have <br /> issued a $19,000.00 check for the total loss claim and they have agreed that Hall <br /> County can write a check back to them for the purchase of the vehicle. Ron stated the <br /> county would not be able to find a 2026 with low milage for that price. The only issue <br /> would be that we could not carry full coverage on the vehicle. <br /> 7 <br />
