Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to transfer the 2026 Trailblazer to <br /> the County Assessor and process paperwork. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Deputy County Assessor Mandy Pfeil said they only have the one vehicle. The other <br /> vehicle is still at the Road Department shop. <br /> 13.PUBLIC WORKS —A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE <br /> SOURCEWELL QUOTE TO ORDER NEW DUMP TRUCK - Sorensen noted that <br /> during the budget process they requested to purchase another dump truck and they <br /> would like to start the process. They received he following quotes. <br /> • Floyds Truck Center 2027 Freightliner $215,965.00 <br /> • Midwest Peterbilt Group truck inventory $328,437.00 <br /> • Hansen International Truck 2028 International $229,264.26 <br /> Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the purchase of a new <br /> dump truck from Hansen International for $229,264.26. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Sorensen amended the motion Jane agreed to authorize the chia to sign the purchase <br /> order. Motion carried. <br /> 14.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING GUIDE TO SALARY STUDY <br /> PARAMETERS - Peterson said he appointed Scott and Pam and they met to go over <br /> some of the parameters for the salary study. He talked to Jerry Pigsley, for some ideas <br /> and also talked to NACO and they recommended Paul Essman. Ron said he talked to <br /> Paul and he will be at the next meeting. When they worked on the CIR cases they <br /> used information from counties that were twice our size and half our size. The HR <br /> person from Sarpy County said they were a MSA and also used information for other <br /> states. But they too felt that was it was not good comparisons. The committee <br /> recommended the following. <br /> • Recommended to use Scottsbluff, Lincoln, Madison, Platte, Buffalo, Dodge, <br /> Adams Haamilton and Merrick counties for the comparisons. There are a lot of <br /> people who live outside of Hall County but work here. <br /> • Compare job descriptions and qualifications <br /> • Include department heads elected official and deputies <br /> • Obtain additional information from Sarpy or Lancaster counties <br /> • Create step scale for all non-union employees with similar step increase by <br /> percentage across all positions <br /> • Create step scaler for non-elected department heads and deputies <br /> • Compare and evaluate benefits <br /> 8 <br />
