COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - Richardson noted the facebook post <br /> regarding Chuck Haase comments regarding the Humane society and expressed <br /> concern on some of the comments are frustrating. They are putting together a <br /> statement regarding the contract with the City. Tey are also having another meeting. <br /> She will add an item to the board agenda for August 25. She also reported they are <br /> having a fund raiser on September 18th <br /> Bredthauer attended the Midland Area Agency Aging meeting good discussion things <br /> are going well and are getting more clients that need services. She also attend the <br /> Regional Planning Commission meeting and they are looking at more lots for Habitat for <br /> Humanity and check on relief on taxes. She also attended the United Way tour of <br /> agencies and it was interesting to see where the keno funds are used. <br /> Peterson said he appointed Pm and Scott to assist with the guidelines for the salary <br /> study. They met last Friday, he also talked to Jerry Pigsley, NACO and to the Sarpy <br /> County HR person regarding suggestions for the salary study and who they used in the <br /> past. He noted you want to consider someone that has worked with counties in the <br /> past. Jerry has worked with counties for his union negotiations. They will have a <br /> recommendation to bring forward. <br /> Lancaster said she appreciated the work that Ron has done and is pleased with the <br /> progress. She also said that they need to consider hiring an insurance broker for our <br /> health insurance. Ron noted they need to set up an insurance committee meeting. <br /> Jerry Pigsley and Sarpy County also suggested to look how we structure the steps on <br /> the ranges. There is not the same percentage on each range they need to set a <br /> consistent percentage across the board. <br /> 9:30 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting <br /> Facilities — Loren noted that the ramp renovations have been finished and they r putting <br /> up the rail today. The brick that they used matched the building perfectly <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Peterson called for public participation, and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEY— County Attorney Marty Klein said he did receive an Email from <br /> the Attorney General regarding the opinion regarding the Wood River tax question. He <br /> has not reviewed it yet. He will forward the information to Greg Cramer. The opinion is <br /> a public document and he will also forward it to the board members. He will put it on <br /> the agenda for the next county board meeting. <br /> Sheriff Berlie said he has been look at the vehicle amount budgeted for the purchase of <br /> the Vehicles. In the past they would purchase the vehicles one year and then equip <br /> them the following year but now they need to get the vehicles on the road. They have 4 <br /> 5 <br />
