They have also been working on the process to move a vehicle to the Assessor's office. They also lost CID unit that was used by the criminal investigation department. Some equipment comes from Platte Valley and some from the state. Wit this addition all of the cars would go into service and then some of the cars that they are cycling could be used by administration. Lancaster ask if the vehicle was damaged from the hail and what condition the car was in. Sheriff Berlie stated the vehicle may have less than 10,000 miles on it and is in good condition, but the body has heavy hail damage. They need to look at all the options tor the transfer. The vehicle is sitting in the back lot behind the Law Enforcement center. They were offered $19,000.00 for the salvage value. NIRMA would write the check to the car lot and apply to the purchase of the new vehicle. Ron noted the salvage company will buy the vehicle and part it out. Lancaster said she would like to consider the cost and condition . Ron will look at the vehicle. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING 2026-2027 BUDGET ITEMS - Information was sent out to the board members on the July 31st. They do not expect any additional changes the next meeting would be on the 25th Kayla noted that the growth number will change and the final valuation need those number should have them on the meeting on the 25th Reviewed the schedule and noted the limit s have a little over $1 million to carry over it does it go away or use the money or save it for next year for the salary study, because of the limits set by the state they must abide by the limit. Discussion on the exempt properties that has increased. Ron ask if under the current status the county is required to do the joint public hearing and Kayla said we do not. Kayla noted that they have not had a growth number in the past. The board has cut more than they needed. Kayla said if the growth number was conservative and the numbers will change, they will haave to adjust all of them. Next year the joint pubic hearing process will change. Ron need to see what the numbers are and make decisions on the 25th and what we want to increase or keep the levy down just need to find the balance on the lid calculations. 6
