9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization mccting <br /> 9:08 Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> FACILITIES — Loren gave an update on the Courthouse addition. The first floor has <br /> been framed out and the sheetrock is up, they are hanging the sheetrock on the second <br /> floor and working on the layout for the third floor. The basement bathroom is finished <br /> and they are working on the other bathrooms. The Judges looked at some of the space <br /> and are pleased on the progress. Loren said fire suppression is also installed and they <br /> used air to test it. <br /> Loren reported that the Administration building and the Courthouse have some roof <br /> damage the Courthouse has shingles on the side that are loose and the Administration <br /> building has nails coming out and some shingles are broken. He has filed a claim with <br /> NIRMAto do an inspection. <br /> Peterson noted that the Clerk of the District Court will need some assistance to move <br /> equipment and files. Ron suggested that Loren may want to reach our to see what is <br /> out there and talk to the staff regarding what they will need to have moved. Quandt <br /> noted that they will also have to have some security when they are moving. Need to <br /> start planning. Discussion was held regarding some of the benches that they won't be <br /> using. Karen suggested reaching out to other counties to see if they would be <br /> interested. Ron suggested a list of what will need to be moved and what will need to be <br /> stored. <br /> Loren said he was working on a grant for playground equipment and has reached out <br /> for assistance. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE - The agenda items were approved by consent agenda. <br /> Don Robb was present and reported that they finished work on 130th and moving to <br /> another mile they are grading shoulders and cleaning out ditches. Will start working on <br /> Wood River Road on the county line, then move down to 190th but this has a lot of <br /> heavy truck traffic. They also replaced concrete pads on Linden and Quail Lanes. They <br /> will start working on Shady Bend Road and are working with the state on the detours. <br /> Submitted paperwork for the tire grant and provided the three quotes for the disposal <br /> with the application now just wait until they hear if they receive the award. Noted they <br /> had an issue with a mobile home pared on a road but it is to be moved this morning. <br /> Don reported that he is getting quotes on a new truck and was concerned on the <br /> possible price increases, but it is looking good. They are doing some patching and <br /> spreading gravel it is too hot to do asphalt it just get sticky. <br /> 4 <br />
