Don said each county has its own veterans's service committee. <br /> Quandt ask if the cemetery is built, why should be paying wages and he had concerns <br /> that the additional funds were gong to the county general fund <br /> 10.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE &AWARD BIDS FOR BOX <br /> CULVERTS — Don Robb said they reviewed the bids and checked the math and it was <br /> all correct. He recommended to award the bid for the 3 box culverts to Saul Ramos in <br /> the amount of$688,588.89 - Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE - Don Robb reported that they are currently working on Bluff <br /> Center and Chapman Roads they were changing out a tube and should be done today. <br /> He noted that they did have a few roads that the water went over them during the heavy <br /> rain. He also reported that he has 2 new employees in motor graders for training. He <br /> wants to have extra employees trained in the event one may be gone then there will be <br /> someone that has been trained. He also noted that the City is working on the sewer line <br /> on 13th Street and they will have to close Engleman for a day for the dewatering pipes. <br /> It is a busy road and they will get it done as fast as they can. He reported that the <br /> bridge that is in the bipartisan bill has moved to the next step. <br /> 19 WEED BOARD INTERVIEWS — Rob SCHULTZ STATE THAT THERE ARE 2 <br /> POSITIONS OPEN — Rob Schultz reported that Mitch Binfield submitted an application <br /> for the weed board as a representative in the city limits. He is interested in the position. <br /> He also received an application from Don Shuda for the rural representative. <br /> INTERVIEW DON SHUDA <br /> Don Shuda was present and stated he applied for the position on the weed board. He <br /> currently lives in rural Hall County and has lived in the country his entire life. He noted <br /> when he bought his property it was overrun by musk thistle. He has always tried to <br /> keep his property upgraded and is interested in serving on the weed board. They have <br /> cattle and horses. He also noted that he had called Rob on a couple issues and he <br /> responded the next day. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the appointment of Don <br /> Shuda for the rural weed board representative. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 14.FACILITIES - FACILITIES —A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING <br /> PLAN FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY BUILDING Loren said 2 weeks ago he was to come <br /> back with a plan and Loren said they will be doing the work in house. He has an <br /> employee that has installed fire suppression systems and can do the work. He has <br /> determined how much pipe, fittings and hangers will be needed to do the project and <br /> the cost will be around $500.00. They will work with the attorney's office employees to <br /> 11 <br />
