Bredhauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried. Weed Superntendent Rob Schultz was present and distributed information to the board members he reviewed he background about the office and the history. He read a letter on the information. Peterson called for any other comments. Chad Gideon a Weed Board Member, requested to address the board and he also read a statement supporting the weed control authority board. Ron noted that there are problems finding people to serve on the board and this is a driving force regarding the continuation of the weed board. Chad said he is reaching out to people. He is passionate about the weed board and addressing noxious weeds. He expressed concern that the board members may not have the time to go out in the county and address the noxious weeds. He feels they can get some members to serve on the weed board. Hurst said these people know what they are talking about and he would not know one weed from another. Chair Peterson called for any other comments. He called for a motion to close the public hearing.
