Bob provided the board with information on their actual expenditures and <br /> reimbursements. <br /> Discussion was held on the number of rides and the actual costs. Casey Muzic stated <br /> that ae experiencing some of the same issues. Sorensen noted that if the county had <br /> more rides the cost would go down. Basically, federal funding came in lower and the <br /> county will need to address how to move forward. <br /> Peterson said basically the county has 2 options to provide the extra lost revenue or <br /> close the transit service down. <br /> Sorensen said with the timeline for the budget and the cuts may have to close. Last <br /> year they funded the first year with a transfer from the inheritance fund. He said we <br /> need to have serious discussions on where we need to go. <br /> Peterson said we will not be able to make any decision today <br /> Sorensen recommended that we could operate until the end of the calendar year and <br /> then have a shutdown period. There are steps that will need to be taken, the contractor <br /> must have a 90-day notice. <br /> He suggested to create a plan and come back in 2 weeks. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to have bob develop a plan for the <br /> transit system because of the decrease in 5311 funding and come back in two weeks. <br /> Bredthauer, Hust, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no <br /> one voted no. Lancaster was not present. Motion carried. <br /> 9.COURTHOUSE PROJECT—A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO RATIFY <br /> CHANGE ORDER 10 & CCP #22 & 27 — Peterson reviewed change Order#10, CCP <br /> #22 is a reduction of $72,000 for a guard rail that will not be necessary and CCP #27 is <br /> an owner contingency deduct of $105,998.00 this is for security issues on the <br /> Courthouse. He said they met with the District and County Court Judges and the staff, <br /> the fire marshal and building inspector and discussed what will be necessary for the <br /> egress doors. <br /> B) RECEIVE CHANGE ORDER REPORT AND OPERATING STATEMENT FOR <br /> COURTHOUSE PROJECT the change order report and operating statement were also <br /> received. <br /> Sornsen made a motion and Richardson seconded to ratify change order#10. Hust, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and Bredthauer and Quandt voted <br /> no. Lancaster was not present. Motion carried. <br />
