come and set them up. They look at the plans for the room and customize them to
fit properly. It does take roughly 8 to 10 months for this process, so do need to get
the ball rolling to have furniture ready for the building when it is ready.
Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded the motion to move forward
with cornhusker industries for furniture for the courthouse.
Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted
yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried.
9B DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO GO TO BID FOR REPAIRS ON THE
HANDICAP RAMP AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING-Loren Humphrey stated he
brought this ramp up again for a couple reasons, he stated there is going to be a new
fence put along there so that will help and things are not going to get cheaper he
suggests we go out for bids while they have the money. Humphrey stated he believes
they have $90,000 budgeted for it and it would not affect the construction of the
courthouse. Just looking at repairing the ramp not replacing it. Richardson made a
motion to go out or bids for repairs to the handicap ramp at the administration building
with bids being due May 18th, 2026 by 5:00 pm, Hurst seconded the motion.
Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted
yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried
9E DISCUSSON & POSSIBLE ACTION ON QUOTES ON HALL COUNTY ATTORNEY
BUILDING-Loren Humphrey asked if the board wanted to move forward with this right
now with the second and third floor, they didn't test as being as serious as far as air
quality like the first floor did, he isn't saying they don't need to be done, just didn't test
as bad. Loren was told that on the second and third floor some of the insulation would
not have to be replaced but could be washed off. Loren recommends while they are
there just getting it cleaned up and done. Loren stated they recommend some de-
humidifiers to help with the moisture to prevent further problems. Discussion was held
about washing or replacing, they feel if going to do it, it needs to be done right. Loren
stated he would have to get a different contractor to replace it the quotes now are to
wash them. Richardson made a motion to except the quotes from environmental direct
concerning the moisture issue at the Hall County Attorney's building. Sorensen
seconded the motion. $24,500.00 for each floor.
Gary asked why anyone can't just tear it down
Loren stated according to the law you can't you have to have negative air set up, and be
suited up, not just anyone can do it.
Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted
yes, and no one voted no. Motion carried
