Courthouse construction <br /> they are framing walls for boiler room and electric room, pouring the first floor today, <br /> progress moving along well. Humphrey stated they had some water leaks in federal <br /> building that are being fixed. He stated he finished grant for trees should hear if approved <br /> in May. Park Coming along good, plants in green house, new lanterns for downtown. <br /> 27. PRESENTATION BY THE CENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> REGARDING ACCREDITATION OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT-Teresa Anderson and <br /> Liza Thalken stated to the board that they are Nationally accredited health department, <br /> Liza stated this has been a goal for many years and that they submitted their application <br /> in December of 2024, and on February 18, 2026 they found out they were approved, <br /> and are very excited about that. Liza stated some highlights were their ability to <br /> communicate, the ability to collect and analyze data to make decisions to improve and <br /> protect public health, they are high performing and trusting and creative and innovative. <br /> 10. 10:30 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 1 & 6 ROAD PROGRAM-Sorensen made <br /> a motion to open the public hearing, Quandt seconded the motion. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Don Robb went over the completed projects and regrade projects, culvert projects, the <br /> one-year asphalt projects, the one-year bridge projects, clay cap projects. <br /> Michael Stutzman lives off Husker Hwy stated he knows they are all aware of Husker <br /> Highway and that it is rough road, he stated that the condition of the road leads to <br /> equipment failure and garbage in his driveway and ditches, roofing supplies fall out, cow <br /> body parts fall out of trucks right in front of his driveway, he has had section of fencing <br /> fall out and pallets that laid there for almost 2 years before he hauled to the dump <br /> himself. Stutzman stated he would just like Husker Hwy to get some attention. <br /> Sorensen asked if he would be willing to write a letter in support of the board to the <br /> State senators. <br /> Sorensen made a motion to close the 1 & 6 public hearing; Bredthauer seconded the <br /> motion. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes, <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
