Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the "called for work" <br /> pay at no less than 2 hours of pay. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 13.DISCUSSION AND ACTION TO APPROVE 22-23 BUDGET INCREASE REQUEST <br /> FOR TRANSIT — this was approved last year as a two year agreement but the board <br /> received a requests for an increase of$9,322.53 to cover salaries and the increase in <br /> fuel costs. This would be from $16,493.00 to $25,815.53. Lancaster noted the cost for <br /> this is split between the state county and city. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the transit budget for the <br /> $25,815.53. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen, Rihardson and Sorensen <br /> all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 14.DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING 22-23 KENO GRANT REQUESTS — <br /> Board Assistant Kim Dugan noted that she received a letter from Clean Community <br /> System request an additional $2,000.00 for the keno grant the total would be $5,000.00. <br /> The following requests were received. <br /> Clean Community Systems $ 5,000.00 <br /> Veterans Park $10,000.00 <br /> Crisis Center $ 9,500.00 <br /> Homeless Shelter (Hope Harbor) $ 4,500.00 <br /> Salvation Army $14,000.00 <br /> Lancaster stated that Senior Citizens did not request any funds this had been for the <br /> adult day care. <br /> Lancaster made motion and Quandt seconded to approve the 2022 2023 keno grants. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 23. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION CREATING A GRAND ISLAND HALL <br /> COUNTY RAILROAD STUDY COMMITTEE Quandt stated they made great strides but <br /> would like to get to a place where they do not have to go to the Public Service <br /> Commission and they still have some problems. He would like to set up a committee to <br /> work together. He noted that west of town on Monitor Road there are still problems <br /> Hurst questioned what has changed the railroad will not change. Gary stated that they <br /> need to try to work on issues. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Sorensen seconded to move forward with a railroad study <br /> committee. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen, Richardson and Sorensen <br /> all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. Gary will serve on the committee. <br /> 12 <br />
