Ron complimented Don on his accomplishment. He said he sit down and talked to the <br /> foreman and the secretaries and discussed the 1 & 6 things are good and moving <br /> forward. <br /> B) DISCUSSION & ACTION REGARDING FUNDING & FUTURE PARTICIPATION OF <br /> HALL COUNTY WITH THE CENTRAL NEBRASKA DRUG COURT - County Attorney <br /> Marty Klein and Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen were present. Marty stated <br /> that he contacted his colleagues regarding sharing in the risk of a catastrophic claim <br /> and all of the other county boards have approved to participate. He is advocating to <br /> retain the drug court employees as county employees. He ask if the board had any <br /> questions. He will have a MOU drawn up and have the participating counties sign on the <br /> commitment to share the possible cost. <br /> Hurst made a motion and Quandt seconded to retain the Drug Court employees as Hall <br /> County employees. They have the commitment from the other counties regarding the <br /> catastrophic claims. <br /> Discussion was held to keep the fees in a separate account. It currently is a separate <br /> fund and will be easy to track. <br /> Marty noted that the county will receive $190.00 a month for the cars and 24 cents for <br /> mileage related to work hours. That is about $3,800.00 a year. The employees will be <br /> required to keep track of their mileage. Discussion was held regarding the mileage the <br /> DAS rate is 58 cents but this is 24 cents and Marty said the 24 cents covers general <br /> maintenance. <br /> The vote on the motion to retain the Drug Court employees was held. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one <br /> voted no. Motion carried <br /> 13. FACILITIES —a) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO <br /> SIGN PROPOSAL FROM NEBRASKA FIRE SPRINKLER FOR ANNUAL <br /> INSPECTIONS —A copy of the proposal was included in the packet. Lancaster made a <br /> motion and Quandt seconded to authorize the chair to sign the proposal from Nebraska <br /> Fire Sprinkler for the annual inspections. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO FILE APPEAL REGARDING DENIAL OF <br /> FEMA FUNDING — Mr. Humphrey said some of the FEMA funding was denied. The <br /> total grant was $33,000.00 and the county only received $10,000.00. There needs to <br /> be a better explanation why the Corrections Department was use the plastic ware and <br /> the disposable food trays. It was determined earlier that COVID could be transmitted by <br /> touch. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to file an appeal. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> 10 <br />
