PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE — Mr. Robb has been doing some bridge inspections for the annual bridge inspections and also looked at other bridges. They are working on the 1 & 6 Road Program. There are 10 miles of asphalt that needs done but may not get it done it will depend on the funding. They're looking at trying to get at least 1 mile of grading on each grader route. There are 6 bridge on the one year but that also depends on the funding and there are another 9 bridges on the 2 year plan. Don said he and Steve discussed the Highway 2 and 70th bridge project and Steve is ready to send it in to the state. This is a project that needs to get done. They are proposing to remove the old bridge and do the dirt work so a contractor can come in and lay the base and pour the box. Then the county will finish the dirt work. It is hard to get contractors and they hope if they get it to a point a contractor can come in and pour the box sometimes they can work it in.
