8b INCREASE MEDICAL PREMIUMS BY 5% - Bredthauer made a motion and <br /> Sorensen seconded to approve the 5% increase in the premiums with Berkley Life & <br /> Health. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried <br /> 8cINCREASE DENTAL PREMIUM TO A FLAT RATE OF $30.00 FOR SINGLE & <br /> $90.00 FOR FAMILY PER MONTH — Bredthauer made a motion and Sorensen <br /> seconded to increase the single dental premium to $30.00 and family premium to <br /> $90.00. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried <br /> Matt noted that the dental premiums had not changed for a long time but during COVID <br /> the dental community saw price increases. There was also the dental PPO that was <br /> introduced last year. If a PPO provider is used the employee can see additional dollars <br /> available for dental procedures. In the past the health insurance was absorbing the <br /> increases in the dental claims. There were no dental plan changes. <br /> 8D KEEP LIFE PREMIUMS THE SAME — Bredthauer made a motion and Sorensen <br /> seconded to leave the Life Insurance premiums the same. There were no plan <br /> changes. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried <br /> Matt stated that there some COVID changes that have already been addressed. These <br /> will stay in place until there are changes regarding the national emergency. <br /> 9DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE AUDIT COMMITTEE <br /> RECOMMENDATION FOR LUTZ TO CONDUCT A SPECIAL AUDIT FOR THE <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT— Kayla Schulte with Lutz was present. The audit <br /> committee recommended to do the special audit. Kayla stated she does not have the <br /> engagement letter for this special audit but will provide one. This will be effective as of <br /> April 18, 2022 when the new director started. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the special audit for the <br /> Road Department. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried <br /> 12 PUBLIC WORKS — Highway Superintendent Don Robb was present. <br /> 12B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION FOR APPROVAL TO PURCHASE LAND <br /> PRIDE RCM5014 OFFSET MOWER FROM GRAND KUBOTA FOR $31,429,97 <br /> USING SOURCE WELL CONTRACT #070821-LPI — Don stted there are 76 miles of <br /> asphalt roads and this mower does not have the bat wings it just mows the shoulders of <br /> the roads. The funds for this purchase are in the current budget. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the purchase of the <br /> Land Pride mower. This will lock in the current price because the cost could go up 18%. <br /> 7 <br />
