DISCUSSION AND ACTION APPROVING FINANCE FOR SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br /> SOFTWARE —Sheriff Conrad stated that he has dollars in the reserve fund for the civil <br /> processing software and can use those funds this year it will be covered and when it is spent <br /> down they can add additional dollars. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve using the equipment <br /> improvement fund to finance the civil processing software for the next year and a half. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one <br /> voted no. RATIFY BOARD CHAIR DECISIONS REGARDING: <br /> a)APPROVE TO IMPLEMENT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MANDATED COVERAGE FOR AT <br /> HOME OVER THE COUNTER COVID-19 DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AUTHORIZED BY THE <br /> UNITED STATES FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION (FDA) ON A PREFERRED BASIS <br /> THROUGH THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG CARD PROGRAM. THE PREFERRED COVERAGE <br /> WILL BE AT NO UP-FRONT COST TO THE PARTICIPANT AND ALLOWS FOR THE <br /> MINIMUM NUMBER OF OTC TESTS AS REQUIRED UNDER THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT <br /> REGULATIONS. OVER THE COUNTER COVID-19 DIAGNOSTIC TESTS PURCHASED <br /> FROM A NON-PREFERRED SOURCE WILL REQUIRE PARTICIPANT CLAIM SUBMISSION <br /> AND BE SUBJECT TO MINIMUM REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNTS AS DETERMINED BY THE <br /> FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. Chair Peterson read the proposed language <br /> approval for this. The board received information that this had to be approved by January 28, <br /> 2022 so the insurance committee met and discussed the proposed language. <br /> Peterson stted that they would encourage the employees to obtain the free tests. It could be a <br /> cost of$700.000 per year to have employees purchase the tests through the insurance. This <br /> could cause an impact to the plan. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the proposed plan updated <br /> language. UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDANCE Sarah stated they intended to let he elected and <br /> appointed officials have some flexibility in the offices she stated this will be a statement from the <br /> county board.
