Recognizing that some departments have had an increase in the number of employees who have been calling in sick and indicating that they either have tested positive for COVID19 or have COVID19-like symptoms, Hall County sought updated information from Central District Health Department Director Teresa Anderson.The Health Director updated Hall County on recent changes to assessing where in the spectrum one is with regard to vaccination using new terminology of"up to date" and "not up to date." There is also updated guidance for the length of quarantining and isolation for those who have had close contacts, who are experiencing COVID19 symptoms, and who test positive for COVID19. Generally,the updated guidance decreases the amount of time for quarantine and isolation. Below is an overview of the updated information, as well as added guidance to assist you and your employees in carrying out the mission of the county while taking into account the challenges faced as a result of the ongoing pandemic: New Terminology: -you have been vaccinated and boosted OR -you have completed the primary series of vaccinations within the last 5 months (both doses of Moderna or Pfizer) or the single dose of Johnson &Johnson within the last 2 months. Not Up To Date means: -you are not vaccinated (have not received any dose of the vaccine), or -not fully-vaccinated (have received only one of the two-dose series of Moderna or Pfizer), or -you are not boosted and are eligible for being boosted (more than five months has passed since your two-dose Moderna or Pfizer series, or more than two months after your Johnson &Johnson vaccination).
