Sorensen stated that full disclosure he has friends with all of the vendors if we can't do <br /> business because we have friends with companies the State of Nebraska would not be <br /> able to do business. He sat in on a meeting with accountability and friends are friend <br /> unless they have a controlling interest. <br /> 6B.) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING RESCINDING <br /> RESOLUTION 17-063 — Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that <br /> Resolution 17-063 addressed the salary of the highway superintendent and the <br /> compensation for the county engineer. She stated she looked at how to handle this and <br /> is bringing it to the board. They could do a resolution for the engineer or add it to the <br /> step chart. <br /> Lancaster stated they discussed this and the resolution is not necessary at this time the <br /> engineer is an employee. This resolution provided for an increase January 1. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to rescind Resolution #17-063. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Sorensen, Richardson and Sorensen <br /> all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster stated this does not need to go on the pay scale and as an employee the <br /> position will receive the same increases as other employees. <br /> 7.9:30 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING FOR RENEWAL OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br /> GTP ACQUISITION PARTNER II LLC — Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer <br /> seconded to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, <br /> Sorensen, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Loren Humphrey was present and stated that this is a renewal of the conditional use <br /> permit. There have been no complaints and no problems. The site is well maintained. <br /> He is recommending to approve the renewal for the conditional use permit. <br /> Chair Lancaster called for public participation and John Welch requested to address the <br /> board. He stated that he supports this conditional use permit and uses the service for <br /> this cell phone and broad band service. This infrastructures critical for the broad band. <br /> Lancaster thanked him for his comments. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Quandt seconded to close the public hearing. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Sorensen, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes <br /> and no one voted no.
