Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> This will be on the agenda for December 21, 2021 <br /> 15. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY DEFERRED COMPENSATION <br /> PLAN - Lancaster stated that this will involve some additional research and they will consider <br /> this after the first of the year. She has some information regarding the retirement funds and the <br /> state deferred compensation plans. It would be an advantage to have the state deferred <br /> compensation plans. The premiums are better and the returns are good or better than other <br /> plans. They are not looking for a profit and by law if you have a cash balance plan you are <br /> guaranteed a 5% return on you funds. Over the last 10 years there has been an average of a <br /> 2.05% dividend. They need to look at this after the first of the year and move forward to take <br /> part in the state deferred compensation plan. <br /> 16. FACILITIES —A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING MOWER BIDS — <br /> Loren Humphrey was present and the bid opening for his mower is scheduled for December 21. <br /> Dustin Kenny the park superintendent was also present and Loren said they wanted the board <br /> to know the companies do not have mowers in stock they would have to be ordered and there <br /> will be price increases. The companies cannot predict what the price increases may be and <br /> they may not be able to deliver the mower until July. He wanted to bring this forward for <br /> discussion. <br /> Lancaster stated the bid opening is December 21 and they should wait until them and the <br /> companies may be able to know if the mowers are in stock. <br /> FACILIITIES UPDATE - Loren stated there will be a construction meeting for the airport after the <br /> first of the year. The City Council is looking at the easement for the sewer lines and the county <br /> will be involved in that. <br /> He is still going out for quotes for the changes to Judge Corey's courtroom and it may take two <br /> weeks for the work. They will be using the Courtroom in the Federal Building during that time. <br /> Election window is taking a long time he went out for 3 proposals and the low proposal was not <br /> be able to do the work so he contacted someone else. Then there is an issue with the door it <br /> was quoted at $3,000.00 but it came in at $6,000.00. The grant money will not cover the cost <br /> and it has to be ADA assessable. He suggested using the ADA line item in the Building and <br /> Land Fund. <br /> Lancaster said election time is on us and there was no money for this price increase. <br /> This will be brought back in 2 weeks to approve ordering the window. <br /> 6 <br />
