DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ADDITIONAL CLERICAL <br /> STAFF FOR PUBLIC DEFENDER'S OFFICE <br /> 16.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE PUBLIC DEFENDER'S UNION <br /> CONTRACT Executive session was held on items 14 15 and 16 from 11:36 a.m. to <br /> 11:47 a.m. <br /> 3 DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING TERC CASES FOR HYVEE AND <br /> SUPER SAVER Executive session was held from 11:47 a.m. to 11:52 a.m. Lancaster <br /> stated there was no action from the executive session <br /> 11:52 a.m. Peterson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. Lancaster stated that no other subjects were discussed no votes were taken <br /> and no action was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson <br /> and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 11:55 a.m. no action from the executive sessions <br /> 11:55 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Bredthauer reported on the MAAA <br /> meeting and there is concern there aren't enough help for the seniors living at home. <br /> She also reported that they are planning a new development by Heartland High School. <br /> This will be a big subdivision. She also noted a study that was completed by the city <br /> that if you are going to a downtown business there may be a 2 block walk to reach the <br /> places because of parking shortages. <br /> Richardson stated she attended the Stuhr Museum meeting and they are proposing a <br /> Bistro it would be open from 10:00 to 12:00. She has seen pictures and it looks very <br /> nice. She also stated that they have received the materials for the skating rink at Stuhr <br /> and hope to have it completed by mid-November this is a synthetic skating rink and they <br /> are planning to build a hut with a concession stand. The skates are out there and they <br /> have reported interest from 22 different groups. The Humane society Fur Ball will be a <br /> dueling piano event at Riverside on March 12th <br /> Sorensen reported that the Veterans Park at Cairo was dedicated and encourage the <br /> board to take a look at it is a beautiful site and shows support for veterans during <br /> Veteran's week. <br /> 11 <br />
