F) PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE SORENSEN & BREDTHAUER - Scott Sorensen stated <br /> that they are working on the bridge on Skypark Road. They are driving in the piling and <br /> have to find an extension. He state that there may be a change order coming on this. <br /> The sign crews are getting up new signs and have replaced 60 signs in the last week <br /> they are making progress and moving in the right direction. They are getting ready for <br /> snow and have the salt/sand ready. Bring on winter! <br /> Bredthauer noted that there has been a lot of construction on Buffalo Road in Amick <br /> Acres and there is concern on a culvert because it could be compromised because of <br /> the excess traffic. <br /> Tim Baxter was very pleased with the safety route and what has been accomplished. <br /> There are just 2 areas that need addressed and then they will come back to the board. <br /> She also noted that there some issues with the sign department they have 14 extra <br /> signs in the inventory that are not necessary. They need to do an inventory of the <br /> signs. <br /> They are addressing the gravel specks and they have assessed the motor graders for <br /> the trade in value. The axels on the gooseneck trailer have gone out and they are <br /> unable to get new ones so they are working to repair it. <br /> Melissa has the quarterly reports done and is working on how to enter the miles on the <br /> vehicles so they can keep track if they need to be replaced. <br /> There was discussion on the CAD system licenses and if they want the license for the <br /> Road Department. Dough Drudik will talk to Scott Peters and Steve to see where the <br /> dollars for the licensing will be paid. It was not used in the past by the Road <br /> Department. <br /> Lancaster stated it is a different set up now. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING KENO GRANT FUNDING FOR <br /> GRAND THEATER — Lancaster stated she put this back on the agenda. Kim Dugan <br /> stated there is currently $945,000 as of September 30th but there several expenditures <br /> that have not been paid. She suggested waiting until March before they do the transfer <br /> back to the general fund to see what the balance is. They will transfer $359,000 to <br /> general. There should be adequate dollars available for community betterment. <br /> Richardson stated that she loves the Grand Theater but what happens to the other <br /> clubs and organizations that come and ask for the same amount. How would you <br /> choose one over the other? <br /> Lancaster said we are not required to fund these. She said that Stacey Ruzicka ask if <br /> the board wanted to continue to fund the nonprofits. They have made the decision each <br /> 6 <br />
