She said that the bridge match on Hwy #2 and 70th she found that some of the <br /> engineering fees have not been paid so that needs to be addressed. Steve said he still <br /> has some drawings to complete. She said the letter requesting an extension was sent. <br /> Steve they need to make some changes on the amounts for the gravel bids. If the pit is <br /> within 10 mile the county hauls the gravel. Mark said they need to change some of the <br /> amounts and it will go out to the gravel bidders this week. Mark has the bid documents <br /> they will change the specs to address any bidders that have pits in 10 miles do not want <br /> to use the Boy Scout camp if it is dumped there they have to hau it again. <br /> Karen ask about the gravel from Mid Nebraska that did not meet the specs and Steve <br /> said they will check on this. <br /> Karen ask about the foot print for the box culvert he has a scan and still needs to do the <br /> design work and then they will get the environmental permitting. Steve said the <br /> extension will be an administrative decision. He was engineer when he was appointed <br /> to that board. There will be an administrative decision. <br /> Bredthauer stated that Rob with Road Department reported on the bridge project. They <br /> have changed the channel, removed the deck stringers and beams and there was a <br /> guard rail that was hit. There was discussion to get an attachment to drill the holes for <br /> the posts. Steve stated that they did find an old auger from the sign truck that will work <br /> so they will not have to buy a new one. <br /> Karen reported that they may look at a tree shredder and will come back with the cost. <br /> She also said that a front seal went out on a motor grader and they will need to fix that. <br /> Also the skid steer has 900 hours and they may look at leasing the skid steer and will <br /> bring back information. <br /> The county has 180 bridges that are over 20 feet they do about 90 inspections each <br /> year and there are also the critical bridges and 174 under 20 feet. The inspections have <br /> been done and Steve said he is working on the paperwork. Scott said they have been <br /> inspected <br /> They are doing crack sealing and ask for permission to buy the crack sealant from the <br /> state bid. They have cleaned Lola Lane in Davis Lake area appreciate that it is cleaned <br /> up. <br /> 14. FACILITIES —A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO <br /> SIGN CHANGE ORDER FOR MID PLAINS CONSTRUCTION FOR FIRE SPRINKLER <br /> COURTHOUSE PROJECT - Loren Humphrey had discussed this because of some <br /> pipes in the street and they had to drop the new lines an additional 2 feet. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the change order for Mid <br /> Plains Construction. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Richardson was absent. <br /> 8 <br />
