She said it is a good project but would like to see it kept under <br /> a certain dollar amount. <br /> Richardson said she has some concern on the numbers but is comfortable with the <br /> agreement. She would like to see a threshold set on the cost. <br /> Lancaster said it is good to have this conversation and we have common thoughts and <br /> there is interest to move forward. <br /> 4. BILL OGG NEBRASKA STATE FAIR DIRECTOR WELCOME TO THE FAIR - Mr. Bill <br /> Ogg was present. He left Great Falls Montana and has been here for 14 months. <br /> Grand Island has been good for the state fair and he stressed the importance of the <br /> partnership and the fact that this goes beyond the 11 days of the fair. Year round the <br /> livestock facilities bring in events and a significant amount of revenue to Hall County. <br /> This partnership enhances the Ag education from the state fair. The entertainment is a <br /> reflection of who we are in Nebraska. They have a master plan for Fonner Park and the <br /> state fair will grow this facility for the betterment of the community. Aksarben also has a <br /> home at the state fair. There will be 4,425 hours of entertainment available at the fair <br /> from the livestock shows to the quilt shows. You cannot even take it all in. They are <br /> stable now in June 2020 they were in debt. It is a wonderful Midwestern fair they have <br /> turned it around and will have a very solid 2021 fair and be able to host the fair in the <br /> future. <br /> Lancaster thanked Mr. Ogg for coming. <br /> PUBLIC WORK UPDATE — Steve Riehle was present the culvert on Husker Highway <br /> was replaced and he drove it last night to check smoothness and when settled they will <br /> place the asphalt. It was closed no problem with the detour. They are still doing the <br /> asphalt patching. They completed 90th Road asphalt and working on Gunbarrel Road <br /> they are also doing some clean up patching. <br /> The Platte Valley Industrial park has the $45,000 for the culvert work and the in kind <br /> work. He talked to the NRD regarding having their consultant do the right-of way in <br /> order to do the construction. He wants to see if this is a possibility. <br /> They are working on the 13th Street project and also getting Engleman striped. They are <br /> stripping every road in Hall County. This is a joint project with Adams and Buffalo <br /> County. The paint truck is older and they try to keep it operational if the pump dies it <br /> dies they will need to make a decision with the other counties what to do. It is a cost <br /> savings to the stripping do this jointly with the other counties. He recommend to keep it <br /> going until the truck give out. <br /> 6 <br />
