Lancaster stated she wants to express some concerns. This is tax relief and it is a necessary project. We have the opportunity to do this now but the county has made some commitments of our ARPA funds and we do not know when we will get the additional dollars. We have to be able to provide what we have committed for the county and work with the city. We deserve our fair share of the funds and has a concern committing half of the dollars before we get the additional dollars. We can use to use the dollars for property tax relief. When projects are bid we are not privy to the engineers estimate. We need to use a range and anticipate if the costs go up if it is going to be in the range we do not want to underestimate the cost it this would happen it would come out of tax dollars.
