GIS helped them with this
and they will be able to help with the correct slop for the drive way. It is steep and will
add to the cost of the project. He also said that the maintenance tunnel that was
abandoned is under this drive way the conduit and the water lines were moved the
prisoner tunnel except for the domestic water lines that will have to be protected. They
will remove the top of the old tunnel and backfill it with gravel so they can change the
elevation so I is not so step and it will be an improvement to get in and out of the lot.
Quandt made a motion and Peterson seconded to move forward with the parking lot
project. This should be completed by the first of the
week and then they can put the sidewalks back and repair the street and the floor in the
courthouse. They have built a cupboard around the main line and then will hook up the
rest of the building if it passes the testing.
Loren stted they are trying to schedule the final walk through for the egress but they
glass above the doors is back ordered. They will do the final inspections when the
glass comes in. They are getting it painted and the doors are being painted. He has
ordered 2 alarms for the doors. The alarms are not part of the project they will install
them once the rest has been completed
Quandt ask if there will be cameras and Sheriff Conrad stated there is one camera and
they can adjust it so they can see the area.
Loren expressed concern on the signs for the egresses. They cannot chain it off so
they will put up signs so if someone is caught on the steps there is a way to address it.
He said they are still waiting for carpet and is should be here by August 9th.
Lancaster said the signs are a good idea, the newness will wear off
7
