12 <br /> Hurst made a motion and Quandt seconded that effective immediately the county is not <br /> to pay sales tax and will only allow reimbursement of the cost of the purchases and not <br /> the sales tax. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 14. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON PROCESSING CLAIMS PROCEDURES FOR <br /> COUNTY OFFICIALS - the claims processing instructions have been updated and will <br /> be distributed to all of the departments. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the claims processing <br /> procedures. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 21. APPROVE REGULAR CLAIMS - Peterson made a motion and Bredthauer <br /> seconded to approve the regular claims except for the Senior Citizens claim. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the claim for Senior <br /> Citizens. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no. Quandt abstained. Motion carried. <br /> 15. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION 0 SATE/NACO GUIDELINES REGARDING ONLINE <br /> PURCHASES - The state auditor's office sent an E Mail that in order to be reimbursed <br /> for sales tax that is paid to contact the Nebraska Department of Revenue for a refund. <br /> Discussion was held and here needs to be better planning and use the Form 13 <br /> requesting to be tax exempt. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to direst departments to use the <br /> Form 13 as a government entity to be tax exempt. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 19. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING SECURITY EQUIPMENT - this executive <br /> session will be pulled. Sheriff Conrad is not able to be present. <br /> 4a DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ASSESSOR'S OFFICE <br /> SOFTWARE <br /> 4b DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION SETTING BID OPENING FOR ASSESSOR'S <br /> SOFTWARE RFP - Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that the RFP <br /> needed to be updated and wanted to meet with Kristi Wold regarding this. This is not <br /> out for bids and it need to be reviewed before the board sits the bid opening. The board <br /> may have questions regarding the RFP. <br /> 12 <br />
