11 <br /> Sorensen stated that there are some dollars sit aside for the project because they did <br /> not build a new building. He is in favor of going out for bids. Loran has given them <br /> some options. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Peterson seconded to go out for bids for the whole roof. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Steve stated that sometimes they use sub-contractors and they need to check the <br /> details. He also stated that there isn't any insulation but they can do that themselves. <br /> D) UPDATE ON FACILITIES - Mr. Humphrey stated that they are a little behind on the <br /> project. They will be cutting the doors into the courtrooms and jury room and they have <br /> ask them to keep all of the trim, window casings ad wood frames so they can be put <br /> back. <br /> He stated they are using galvanized steel and there are some issues with the welding. <br /> They are also doing a test on the paint and discussion was held on the color. He is <br /> waiting for more information. It was suggested to paint the doors a lighter color to <br /> prevent them from so it will not swell from the heat. It was suggested to use a color <br /> similar to the sandstone. <br /> Bredthauer ask if there has been consideration on roof repairs on the Cairo and <br /> Doniphan sheds they are also leaking and Loran stated they are working on them. <br /> Loran stated they ae painting the Annex Building and ask what color to paint the walls <br /> and if he should use the same color paint as the Veterans' Service Office. Discussion <br /> was held and it is was suggested to use one color for the background paint to eliminate <br /> extra paint cans. <br /> He also stated that the sewer line at the park house had to be replaced. It is in the <br /> crawl space and it has been fixed and repaired. <br /> 12. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION AUTHORIZING CHAIR TO SIGN <br /> SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH DOUBLE LOCKED SECURITY FOR COURTHOUSE <br /> This was discussed at the last meeting. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer <br /> seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the Double Locked Security agreement for the <br /> Courthouse. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 13. DISCUSS & TAKE ACTION ON CLAIMS REGARDING SALES TAX ISSUES — <br /> there have been claims on county purchases that have sales tax on them and Hall <br /> County should be tax exempt. The departments can provide a tax exempt form 13 so <br /> they are not charged tax. This was discussed by the audit committee and the county <br /> should not be paying sales tax. <br /> 11 <br />
