Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE Mr. Riehle stated here was discussion regarding the <br /> elevation of the berm on Silver Creek it was built with the level of the fence line and it <br /> was surveyed again and raised it 1/2 foot. <br /> They have been receiving good gravel and are continuing to haul gravel. They are <br /> waiting for the asphalt plants to open so they can start patching. Meadow lane has <br /> been addressed and is done and are waiting to work on Airport Road. <br /> He stated that the last payment on the motor graders was made and will be bringing <br /> discussion forward on what to do this will be during budget discussion. <br /> The truck shed is ready for the new doors. The motor for the doors was supposed to be <br /> delivered to Grand Island but they cannot find it so are waiting for that. <br /> Sorensen stated that he surveyed the parking lot at the Road Department and would <br /> like to see it replaced they are looking at options and also considering extending the <br /> parking lot to the wash bay. <br /> Steve stated that Janet has been helping in the office and he will come to the board to <br /> requesting filling the executive assistant position. <br /> He reported that the bridge project on Skypark Road will be funded through the highway <br /> bridge program with highway buy back dollars. It will be advertised on the website for <br /> the bids. He will also be advertising for the motor grader blades. This is for a year's <br /> supply. <br /> Quandt ask how J.I.L. is coming on Wood River Road and Steve reported that they <br /> purchased a grinder but there is more to do. They have been told they cannot move to <br /> Cairo until this is satisfactory. They need good numbers and have to meet the <br /> specifications. <br /> Amick Acres project is about done they did move some dirt the Gregg Robb's site. <br /> Homestead project is done they are waiting until the ditches dry up in order to clean <br /> them out. The work on the front yards is completed. <br /> There was concern on debris blowing into the fields along Husker Highway and Steve <br /> will contact the city. <br /> Discussion was held if there was going to be a tire collection day and Steve stated they <br /> were not approved for another grant. If anyone is a repeat applicant they may not be <br /> approved. He will apply again next year. There are tires in the ditches again. <br /> 8 <br />
