Motion carried. <br /> Discussion was held on Mr. Pickrel's retirement and it will be held on April 27th <br /> 10:30 A.M. Held a board of Corrections meeting <br /> 10:52 a.m. adjourned the Board of Corrections and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 15. COUNTY TREASURER - INFORMATION WITH INFORMATION REGARDING <br /> COVID AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN REVENUE CODE County treasurer Alain Verplank <br /> sent a letter to the board regarding the new fund #2580 —COVID American Rescue <br /> Plan. Hall county will be receiving new money from the American Rescue Plan act and <br /> the State Auditor has created this Fund so it ca be accounted for separately from any <br /> other COVID Grants. This is just information. <br /> Lancaster stated that she and Sarah Carstensen sit in on an hour long webinar with <br /> National NACO and they are not sure if you have to apply for the funds or if the county <br /> has will just receive them. Sarah stated that once the bill was signed by the President <br /> the funds were to be distributed in 60 days. They are asking for clarification on when <br /> the funds will be received and how the funds can be used. Sarah noted that they <br /> should be receiving the funds in 4 weeks. <br /> 20. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING EARLY CLAIM FROM GHA <br /> TECHNOLOGIES — County Clerk Conley provided information on this early claim and <br /> the fact that they were charging sales tax on the delivery service. She attempted to file <br /> the form 13 stating the county government is tax exempt and also proved a letter noted <br /> the state statute but they refused to accept this. The state of Texas suggested using a <br /> Texas state form but it still did not a way to claim the exemption as county government. <br /> She is asking the board for direction on how proves this claim. Discussion was held <br /> and it will be held for clarification from the state or NACO for a suggestion how to <br /> handle this. <br /> FACILITIES UPDATE <br /> Mr. Humphrey Doone said the held another construction meeting and they are asking <br /> for a 3 day extension on the contact. They cut an unmarked phone line to the welfare <br /> building and had to contact someone to fix it. Century was able to prove a temporary <br /> line and it has been fixed now. Also there have been weather delays. They have lost <br /> about 2 1/2 day so they are asking for a 3 day extension. They will provide a new time <br /> line. There have been no complaints and they are moving along. <br /> 7 <br />
