5.AWARD BID FOR ASPHALT RESURFACING — Mr. Sorensen reviewed the bids and <br /> checked the numbers and is recommending to accept the low bid from Gary Smith <br /> Construction in the amount of$256.140.00. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer second to award the bid to Gary Smith <br /> Construction in the amount of$256,140.00. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all vote yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Sorensen stated that he has a few notes from public works. The Homestead project <br /> is completed except for one small drainage project but they will have to wait until it dries <br /> out. <br /> The Amick Acres culverts are in and will need to widen out the ditch then it will be done. <br /> They have been hauling gravel and have completed 6 miles and will continue hauling. <br /> Garage doors. Overhead Door is waiting on parts so they can install the garage doors <br /> when the parts are in it will be scheduled. <br /> Scott stated that J.I.L. has been grinding Wood river road and have completed 2 of the <br /> 6 miles. It is smoother they purchased a grinder and they should be done by May 1St <br /> Jackie Hetrick retired last Thursday and Scott said they thanked her for her hard work <br /> and wished her well and to enjoy her retirement. Steve Riehle was home sick but is <br /> getting better. <br /> Quandt thanked Scott on the update on wood River Road and it will finally getting it <br /> done. <br /> Lancaster noted that an individual at a media event contacted her and said he <br /> appreciated Scott talking to him about Airport Road and North Road. He stated the <br /> berm needs to be higher. The water flow has changed around this property and it has <br /> helped.
