Steve ask if the board would address the amendment to the agreement with the city of <br /> Grand Island first Shannon Callahan would like to take the agreement back for the City <br /> council meeting tonight. <br /> Steve stated that the city and county had an agreement in 2017 for the snow removal <br /> and the mowing. In the past it was a handshake agreement and the formalized it and <br /> created a map and listed the miles for the snow removal and mowing. He stated that <br /> they use the dollar amount that the State of Nebraska uses and they changed the <br /> formula so the amount has changed. It was $500.00 a mile now it is $665.00 a mile. <br /> There were some small changes on Husker Highway, North Road and some on Scheel <br /> Drive. He is recommending to approve Amendment#1 to the 2017 agreement. <br /> Hartman made a motion ad Quandt seconded to approve the amendment and authorize <br /> the Chair to sign. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Paterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> a) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVE BID FOR SHOP FLOOR REPAIR — <br /> Mr. Riehle reviewed the bids from the September 29 bid opening and addressed the <br /> rebar that they want to use instead of the fiber mesh. He recommend to accept the bid <br /> for the shop floor repair from Mid Plains Construction in the amount of $26,565.00. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the bid from Mid Plains <br /> Construction. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Paterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> b) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING BID FOR VENTILATION <br /> SYSTEM — Mr. Riehle reviewed the bids documents and talked to Myers Heating. They <br /> met the specifications. He is recommending to accept the bid from Myers Heating in the <br /> amount of$6,900.00 with a completion date of November 30, 2020. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt second to accept the bi from Myers Heating & <br /> Air Conditioning. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Paterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Hartman stated this shows that it is good to go out for bids the bids are less. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE — Steve stated that they met every Monday and do an <br /> update. They did the asphalt patching on Nine Bridge Road and Gary Smith will start <br /> the asphalt resurfacing on Stuhr Road tomorrow and will be finished by next Tuesday. <br /> They just have to clean out 3 ditches on the Doniphan project and it will be about 3 <br /> weeks work. They will start that in a couple of weeks. <br /> 7.FACILITIES — SET BID OPENING FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION AND EGRESS FOR <br /> HALL COUNTY COURT HOUSE FOR NOVEMBER 10, 2020 AT 9:30 A.M.
