9:10 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:40 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting. <br /> 3.GREG CRAMER — DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REQUEST <br /> TO FORGIVE BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR STICK CREEK CHILD DEVELOPMENT <br /> CENTER ) - Mr. Cramer stated that they purchased the former nursing home building <br /> and went out for bids for the renovations the bids came in at $1.2 million for the <br /> renovations in March and are currently in the demo stage. They hope to have it <br /> completed by March 2021. This facility will employ 15 to 20 people. He noted that <br /> during the flood in 2019 the county approved to forgive some of the building permit fees. <br /> They are behind schedule on the project and are asking the county board to forgive the <br /> $2,340.00 permit fees. <br /> Lancaster stated that there was limit on the amount of time they would honor forgiving <br /> the fees. <br /> This is a different project and they have been working on it and will provide employment <br /> positions since they lost the nursing home facility. They will also be using the building. <br /> Quandt stated that the building is sitting empty and this is a good project. He noted that <br /> this is in Hartman's area and he would go with what he says. <br /> Hartman made a motion to forgive the $2,340.00 building permit fees. Quandt seconded <br /> the motion. <br /> Peterson expressed concern that this could sit a precedence in the future for nonprofit <br /> organizations. <br /> Discussion was held to allow the extension on waving the building permit fees. <br /> Lancaster ask Hartman if he would amend the motion but he said to leave it as stated. <br /> The voted on the motion to waive the fee was taken. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Paterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 6. PUBLIC WORKS c) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION APPROVING OF <br /> AMENDMENT#1 TO THE 2017 INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH <br /> THE CITY FOR SNOW REMOVAL & MOWING IN AND AROUND GRAND ISLAND <br /> 4 <br />
