COUNTY ATTORNEY, JAIL & COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING INSTALL NEW SYSTEM - Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that the current system is not supported so they will need to address <br /> changing the key fobs. This is for the County Office Building and not the Administration Building <br /> or the jail. The cost would be about $30,000.00 and Loran stated he did not budget for the jail <br /> or the Administration Building but he does have some dollars left from the Courthouse Security <br /> line item that he could use, these dollars are not budgeted for a specific building. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to move forward to upgrade the security <br /> system and come back in 2 weeks with information on the dollars. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Bahensky stated that he ran into the same issue with the new camera system the system <br /> and the software is not supported they are using an old computer to keep it. When he does his <br /> lobby upgrade they will need additional card readers. The estimate for the upgrade is about <br /> $90,000.00. Lancaster stated they need to know where the dollars will come from. <br /> 13F) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON REMAINING PROJECT FEES FOR QUAD C <br /> CONSULTING — Loran stated that Gary Carlson with Quad C has listed the options and he will <br /> have to oversee the asbestos projects. The County will have to go out for bids for each of the <br /> options. <br /> Quandt asked if Loran could do this and Loran stated he does not have a license for asbestos <br /> inspections. There is no actions at this time. <br /> 13G DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO HIRE SECURITY DURING INSTALLATION OF <br /> THE COURTHOUSE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM & EGRESS Mr. Humphrey stated that the <br /> fire suppression work may have to be done after hours and they will need to hire a security <br /> service. They hired Double D Security in the past. <br /> Quandt stated that the Sheriff is in charge of Courthouse security and he is comfortable with <br /> Double D. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to hire Double D Security. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that with the coronavirus he is asking staff to do a better job cleaning and <br /> has found a product that can be used to disinfect the counters for 24 hours. He will make it <br /> available for the staff and to make it safe for people coming in. <br /> Mr. Humphrey reported that the Historical Preservation office has the plans for the Courthouse. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS— 14 E) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING INTERLOCAL <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS - Mr. <br /> Riehle stated this is an interlocal agreement with the city of resurfacing 3 roads they will work <br /> together on the projects. It will be on Schimmer Drive east of North Road, 1/2 mile of Blaine <br /> Street and the city is chip sealing part of Shady Bend Road. Steve stated they will watch the <br /> chip sealing process and see if it helps. <br /> 7 <br />
