Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to postpone approving the conditional use <br /> permit for 2 weeks. <br /> Lancaster ask if the board wants to look at the conditions of the permit as it was original written <br /> or address new conditions. She questioned if the drainage was addressed in the original <br /> permit. <br /> Bredthauer questioned if the county could go back and recoup the funds that the county should <br /> have received for the licenses? <br /> Richardson stated we need to enforce the original conditions and license the 20 vehicles and <br /> Dick did not question the drainage. <br /> Hartman stated if the ditches are not cleared the water cannot drain off. <br /> Bredthauer read the original wording in the conditional use permit. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated some of it is standard wording on the conditional use permits for sand and <br /> gravel and he will work with Werner's on the issues. <br /> The vote on the motion to postpone was taken. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 10.10:00 A.M. BID OPENING HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES HVAC — Quandt made a motion <br /> and Bredthauer seconded to open the bids for the DHHS HVAC project. Bredthauer, Hartman, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> The following bids were received. <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID COMPLETION DATE <br /> Myers Heating & Air $29,900.00 60 days after award of bid <br /> Island Indoor Climate $35,900.00 2 weeks from contract date <br /> Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to refer the bids to facilities and come back with <br /> a recommendation. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:02 a.m. Held a 5 minute break <br /> 10:11 a.m. Returned to regular session. <br /> 15. ELECTION COMMISSIONER— DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING HIRING <br /> CARLY GARTNER AS A 2020 ELECTION WORKER - Election Commissioner Tracy Overstreet <br /> stated she will need 130 to 140 election workers and has 90 so far. She received an application <br /> from Carley Gartner, her daughter, who is a junior at Grand Island Senior High and she will also <br /> have other students work the election. Since Carley is her daughter it is a conflict of interest but <br /> 5 <br />
