10:15 A.M. BID OPENING FOR INMATE TELEPHONE SERVICE Quandt a motion and <br /> Richardson seconded to open the inmate telephone service bids. Bredthauer, Hartman, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The following companies submitted bids. <br /> Encartele <br /> Omaha, Nebraska <br /> ICS Solutions <br /> San Antonio, Texas <br /> GTL Falls Church, VA <br /> Securus Technologies <br /> Carroliton, Texas <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to refer the bids to the corrections <br /> Department and come back with a recommendation. Todd requested to wait until the <br /> next Board of Corrections meeting on September 1st. It will take time to review them <br /> and he would like to talk to the bidders. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5. COUNTY ATTORNEY — DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO REPLACE <br /> SUPPORT STAFF PERSON AND ATTORNEY POSITION this item will be pulled <br /> because it was addressed at the budget meeting. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS BID OPENING Mr. Riehle was present and stated he reviewed the <br /> bids and check the numbers and the bonds and they were all OK. He stated that he <br /> had estimated $317,545. He is recommend to accept the low bid from Gary Smith <br /> Construction at $247,836.00. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to accept the low bid from Gary Smith <br /> Construction $247,836.00 Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Peterson noted that they had estimated $370,000 in his budget and ask if that could be <br /> reduced. Steve stated he would revise his budget. <br /> 14. FACILITIES —a) INFORMAL PROPOSALS FOR JUVENILE DIVERSION <br /> REMODEL AT BUILDING Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open <br /> the informal bids for the juvenile diversion remodel. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Loran stated this is for the architect, when the final drawing is complete it can go to bid. <br /> 6 <br />
