Bredthauer noted information from the 12/21/2019 minutes that $30,000 has been <br /> collected and $22,000 to $23,000 had been used and there also fund from the NRD. <br /> Mr. Amick stated that his money was to be used to offset the pumping costs. <br /> Peterson ask if there is any reason we should give them the dirt and Steve stated they <br /> could come and get it or move it Peterson ask if the county has a use or the dirt and <br /> Steve stated it is more than we need. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Richardson seconded to allow Mr. Riehle to give the dirt <br /> the Amick Acres Home Owners Association. <br /> Mr. Amick stated the dirt could be placed on his private property and he would sign a <br /> waiver and this is not an issue for him. He will show them how to get in and out of the <br /> property. <br /> Quandt ask how many loads and Steve stated there could be about 20 loads but they <br /> could use the side dump to move. It. Steve stated that the 2 HOA projects had to use a <br /> lot of dirt it was used for the berms. <br /> The vote on the motion to give the dirt to the Home Owners Association was taken. <br /> Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Amick distributed information the board members noting the total valuation on <br /> Amick Acres and the taxes that were paid. It is important to preserve the tax base and <br /> they are actually larger that the Village of Doniphan. It is worth putting the money into <br /> Amick acres. He noted that 40 years ago there was a project to build up a portion of the <br /> road that also serves as a dike. He noted that the flood tore out the culverts on the west <br /> side of Buffalo road and they have replaced the culverts and dug out the west side of <br /> the township road and raised the dike and did not ask the county for assistance they <br /> paid for it using the assessments and everyone contributed. He is asking for the dirt to <br /> build the berms and keep water out of the west lake. The thanked Steve and the road <br /> department for everything that they did during the storm and he thanked the sheriff's <br /> office for their assistance. <br /> Lancaster ask Mr. Riehle if he could provide an accounting the dollars that have been <br /> spent for the hours and the equipment. <br /> Quandt ask Steve if a letter has been sent out on the culvert and Steve stated it was <br /> sent. <br /> 7.
