Quandt made a motion to approve signage to be put up and Bredthauer <br /> seconded, Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Quandt, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Richardson all voted yes, none voted no. Motion Carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS —DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION SETTING PAY RANGES FOR <br /> A. Roads & Bridge Foreman <br /> B. Shop manager <br /> C. Executive Assistant <br /> Steve Riehle referred back to a memo he had prepared last board meeting, and <br /> stated the highlights. He is asking that his Roads & Bridge Foreman and shop manager <br /> go up two ranges which would be estimate of 5% increase for the added responsibility <br /> they do, and to consider retro pay for them as well. <br /> Hartman stated that how they are doing it at Road's department is working and <br /> working smooth. He stated they are not hiring new people to do mowing or work their <br /> roads, and things are getting done. <br /> Bredthauer questioned why some numbers did not match or add up on budget and <br /> documents she had on the Executive assistant position. She also questioned why Road <br /> and Bridge foreman and shop manager would be put on range 17 along with the others <br /> that are on that range that are all desk jobs. <br /> Peterson stated that don't matter job descriptions are what matters and means what <br /> work they do. <br /> Peterson stated a clarification on effective date and retro needed to be decided. <br /> Richardson made a motion to pay retro pay back to January 1, 2020 for the Road & <br /> Bridge foreman and the shop manager but not executive assistant. Peterson seconded <br /> the motion. Hurst, Hartman, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, all voted not. Motion Carried. <br /> Richardson made a motion to move the Roads & Bridge Foreman and Shop <br /> Manager and the Executive assistant up one range on the pay scale and keep them on <br /> the current step they are on now, Hurst seconded the motion. Hurst, Hartman, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes, Bredthauer and Quandt voted no. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 12. FACILITIES - <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR MID <br /> PLAINS CONSTRUCTION FOR $875.00-Quandt stated they had changed the order <br /> after the fact and after the work had been done he stated that was not doing good <br /> business and didn't think they should pay it. <br />
