Assessors office had already sent out the notices to the printer and therefore the <br /> process could not be stopped. He noted there were 125 that they did make a mistake <br /> on, they did fix it but unfortunately not in time for Hall County. He stated that should not <br /> happen again. He stated many of the other issues brought up he said no they do not <br /> have those issues anywhere else. <br /> Brad Miller he is head of Vanguard's computer department he stated that a new server <br /> would help and that they have been waiting for Hall County's IT dept. to contact them, <br /> he stated they have tried contacting them numerous times, he sated he does not know <br /> what the delay is on that. He stated this can be done today just waiting on the go from <br /> our IT dept. <br /> Doug Drudik stated it has long been set up and ready to go, he thought Vanguard was <br /> well aware of that. Doug stated he had larger questions about how the product was <br /> functioning for the Assessor's office and moving forward, he stated he was not aware <br /> that the firebird issues with server where holding the whole project up. Doug stated <br /> seems to be larger issues going on. Drudik stated the migration could be done today. <br /> Bob Ahlers noted he would make sure the migration happens immediately <br /> Alaina Verplank the County Treasurer stated she had concerns she stated her office <br /> has had over 900 corrections this year they have never had over 150 corrections in a <br /> year. Homesteads, levies and Ag land are not being calculated correctly, Verplank <br /> questioned how that was going to be fixed, Verplank stated they can't keep sending <br /> statements out to these people. She stated there is not check and balances between <br /> them and the Assessor's office, reports aren't balancing as well. She stated she had to <br /> contact the state herself and have them contact Vanguard on how to do some of the <br /> things like Tiff, and homestead and Ag land, property tax credit. Verplank questioned <br /> how is she going to know that next year will be different? <br /> Verplank and Brad talked about issues and how to resolve or make easier for <br /> Treasurer's dept. <br /> Verplank stated that sales and ownership are not showing up correctly <br /> Bob Ahlers stated that this is first year on system, and thinks there are some mis- <br /> understanding on system and how these programs are used. He stated that working <br /> closer with the Assessor's office to make sure these errors don't happen again. <br /> Wold stated they were told that they would be charged more for training, she believes <br /> training time was some of the issue as well. <br /> Bob stated they would give 30 hours free training <br />
