Mr. Peterson did state that at some point and <br /> time they do need to look at the building and see how this space could be utilized better <br /> for our own use, those are some of the spacing issues we need to deal with. Mr. <br /> Peterson stated that there are some other offices that potentially made need to expand <br /> or change locations, and that he thinks that should be the priority for their own use first. <br /> Lancaster stated that they had just received recently another email from Probation, and <br /> that is something to be addressed down the road. <br /> 6(D) FACILITIES-DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO USE LINE ITEM #5-0608 <br /> FOR UPGRADES TO SECURITY SYSTEMS FOR ADMINISTRATION, COUNTY <br /> ATTORNEY, JAIL AND ANNEX BUILDINGS-Mr. Humphrey stated he was approached <br /> by county IT department that several security systems in our campus and areas and <br /> buildings need to be upgraded because they are no longer supported by our computers, <br /> and their old and it's hard to get parts for them. Mr. Humphrey stated that we had <br /> already budgeted for the County Attorney upgrade in their building, and we haven't <br /> done that yet, the money for that is already available. Humphrey stated he had not <br /> budgeted for the Jail, or Admin or Annex buildings, he did note that he does have <br /> money budgeted for the County office building to put a key fob system in the County <br /> office building the Public Defender's office requested one to be put on their back door. <br /> Mr. Humphrey then stated he filled out the form to get permission to use that line item <br /> from the courthouse he said there was roughly $28,000.00 in there, and with the money <br /> he has budgeted for the other systems would but it up to about $33,000.00 total that <br /> would be available, and that would pretty much cover the upgrades to all these <br /> buildings. Mr. Humphrey stated he would like Board to give permission for him and IT to <br /> make these upgrades using these funds from the line item. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion Peterson seconded Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt <br /> and Peterson all voted yes, none voted no. Hartman and Richardson were absent. <br /> FACILITIES UPDATE-Mr. Humphrey gave the Board and update regarding repairing <br /> the front steps of federal building and railing, and the stone work being done. <br /> Lancaster called for break 10:35 am <br /> Back in session 10:40 am <br /> 9 DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON CORONAVIRUS ISSUES-Lancaster stated that <br /> this issue is evolving and they just can't wait every two weeks to make decisions, she <br /> asked that with Carstensen help and Theresa from the Health Department and Jon <br />
