B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE PURCHASE OF CRUSHED <br /> CONCRETE FROM NITRO CONSTRUCTION INC. — Mr. Riehle stated that they used the <br /> crushed concrete to repair the roads and they use this instead of the limestone because it is <br /> cheaper. They now need to purchase more. They have a standard price for the concrete Nitro <br /> is $24.00 a ton and the others are $23.00 and it depends on the size <br /> Lancaster expressed concern on the bid price and Steve stated Nitro is the only one that has <br /> the crushed concrete. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the purchase of the crushed <br /> concrete from Nitro Construction. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Bredthauer stated that they are looking at the recommendations from NIRMA and how <br /> it will work all employees can contact the safety committee and Tim Baxter. Steve stated this <br /> has opened up good communications with management and the employees regarding safety <br /> concerns. It is another communication tool. <br /> Richardson ask if NIRMA suggests who should be on the committee and Steve stated they <br /> suggested on more management person. Discussion was held if this should be in the employee <br /> manual. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Bredthauer stated she talked to Steve <br /> about the safety committee and she attended the State of the City address. <br /> Lancaster stated that the Secretary of State visited the Hall County Election office. <br /> 23. APPROVE REGULAR CLAIMS - Discussion was held on claim # 20020310. This is for a <br /> reimbursement for meals for a lunch in town. It is stated in the handbook it is to be an overnight <br /> stays or meetings out of town or meal reimbursements. This will be held for clarification. <br /> 9 <br />
