11. CORRECTIONS TODD BAHENSKY - DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON <br /> APPROVING AMENDMENT TO INMATE MEDICAL CARE CONTRACT - Mr. Bahensky was <br /> present and at the last meeting he had reported that Advance Medial was requesting a rate <br /> increase or to cancel the contract. They need to have something in placed even if he did go out <br /> for bids. He talked to Matt Schultz and has negotiated an amendment to the current agreement. <br /> The current cost is $39,074.79 monthly and they have negotiated $40,473.95 for the time of <br /> December 1, 2019 to March 1, 2020. Todd stated he has a draft of the RFP and will have it for <br /> the next meeting. He has copies of the amendment for signatures. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the amendment to the inmate <br /> medical health care agreement with Advanced Medical. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY <br /> Lancaster stated that she talked to Mr. Riehle regarding closing because of the weather and <br /> generally Hall County does not close. There are additional costs for the unions when the <br /> buildings are closed. The essential services Road Department, Corrections Department and <br /> Sheriff's Departments have to be on duty. If employees are not able to come in they can use <br /> their vacation to cover. She noted that there is a phone number for the employees to call to <br /> verify if the buildings are closed. They need to follow the policy. <br /> Hartman noted that a couple of others have closed and ask what is a life worth? Richardson as <br /> Jon Rosenlund and he stated that if the weather is extreme it should close. The chair contacts <br /> Road Department for the road conditions. <br /> Held a 5 minute break. <br /> 6. A) 9:45 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING RENEWAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br /> AURORA COOPERATIVE AT 6236 SCHAUPPSVILLE ROAD, WOOD RIVER, NE - Quandt <br /> made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hartman, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen and Janet O'Malley were present this is a renewal of <br /> the conditional use permit. This was also prepared the same as the last permit for a period of <br /> 10 years. There have been no problems with the permit. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to close the public hearing. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 6. B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING RESOLUTION FOR CONDITIONAL <br /> USE PERMIT - Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the Resolution <br /> #19-214 for the renewal of the conditional use permit for Aurora Cooperative Elevator at 6236 <br /> Schauppsville Road, Wood River, NE. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4 <br />
