November 21, 2019 and they followed the City of Grand Island rate changes there was a 5% <br /> increase but the review was a 10% increase. <br /> Lancaster thanked him for coming. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS —Quandt stated that he heard from the <br /> Public Service Commission regarding the trains and there may be a hearing in 2 weeks. <br /> Richardson stated that Joe Black resigned as the Director at Stuhr Museum and they are <br /> starting the hiring process. She also stated that Stuhr has the festival of trees and there will be <br /> 90 some Christmas trees. Lancaster noted you can also vote for your favorite tree. <br /> Bredthauer stated they has a safety committee meeting and reviewed the work comp claims. <br /> They will be reviewing the new safety manual and once it is adopted it will go to the Road <br /> Department. They also had a safety committee meeting at the Road Department. <br /> Lancaster stated the board received a thank you letter from the adult day care for the keno <br /> funds without these funds they would not be able to continue. She noted they also received a <br /> report on the expenditures and they are requesting $25,000.00 from the county from the <br /> $70,000.00 that was budgeted. <br /> Quandt ask about the compost issue. <br /> Mr. Peterson stated that they had the last review and stated he appreciated the committee <br /> members. <br /> Hartman stated he had a call from someone 1 1/2 miles away and the smell was bad. <br /> Peterson stated that he was glad they used this process for the request for the permit site. <br /> Lancaster stated that Hope Harbor also sent a thank you note for the keno funds. <br /> 5. A) 9:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING RENEWAL OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br /> AURORA COOPERATIVE ELEVATOR 10501 S PINE CAIRO, NE —Quandt made a motion <br /> and Bredthauer seconded to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen and Janet O'Malley were present this is a renewal of <br /> the condition use permit. Sarah stated that the last permit was for 10 years so the resolution <br /> was prepared for the same length of time. There have been no changes and Janet stated that <br /> they have paid the$1000.00 fee. They have no concerns and have not added anything. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to close the public hearing. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 5. B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING RESOLUTION FOR THE <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT—Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve <br /> the Resolution #19-213 for the renewal of the conditional use permit for Aurora Cooperative <br /> Elevator at 10501 S Pine, Cairo, NE. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 3 <br />
